May 30, 2007 - Daniel William Baird was killed by a hit and run drunk driver while celebrating his 27th birthday in Las Vegas. He was crossing a street with some friends, when he was struck by a vehicle traveling an estimated 60 -70 mph. The woman driving the vehicle (also 27 years old) had been convicted of a DUI 18 months before killing Daniel.

Update - August 9, 2007 - Dana Mandell pleaded NOT GUILTY at her arraignment. Trial date is set for March 3, 2008.
